Metal Intoxication

重回Metalfest第三天，While Heaven Wept是排在Alcest後面的樂團，跟Crimfall一樣，我只聽了新專輯。
來自美國維吉尼亞州的史詩前衛/力量/末日金屬團，1989年成立時團名為Dream Wytch，直到1991年改名為現在的While Heaven Wept。這個擁有很淒涼團名的美國團或許不是很為人熟識，但他們與Candlemass、Solitude Aeternus並列史詩末日金屬三大巨頭(就算這樣說，我還是對他們很不熟識啊XD)。
根據樂團中心人物Tom Phillips所述，While Heaven Wept成立14年內，來來去去已經更換過高達65位團員，堪稱金屬史上換人最多的樂團。


While Heaven Wept的音樂運用了大量的交響鍵琴和很有氣勢的riff，主唱的演唱就像站在山頂上高聲吶喊，令人有心曠神怡的舒暢感覺。
或許這和很多人所想的末日金屬不同，不是非常的緩慢，不是十分的空洞，甚至很少用到死腔(只有在個別曲目中用到少許)，但這正是While Heaven Wept式的悲壯，不是淒清的孤寂，而是排山倒海的澎湃。

While Heaven Wept的名氣的確不太高，看看台下的觀眾...比Alcest的觀眾還要少...


我沒有很認真聽，只有找個舒適的位子坐下來欣賞，拍拍幾張照意思意思，只是太陽好大="=
